Entourage Systems, Inc. has suddenly discontinued both their original, and pocket, eDGe Dualbooks as of late May 2011. Here is a new, unofficial support forum for all you orphaned users (run by an avid user who is not associated in any way, with the company…totally free, no strings attached):

@WarDwarfSalad he said he could configure it so as to use it that way…i believe the screen orientations can be changed…

@ 1:08 – you can use it this way, but you’d be reading it upside down

This is not creative or innovative!! This look like a markdown from the Microsoft Courier…

Now, I don’t even want the courier! I am so sick of everyone copying the other!

The device is great! It only needs to be a little refined as far as design, size etc is concerned

  21. CDRofl says:

the eDGe (correct company spelling) is awesome. it’s better than the iPad, the Kindle, and that nthing Sony makes.
My dad is working on it right now and he lets me try it

  22. RarianRakista says:

Its made for Academics not for normal folks and I love it. It is impossible to prop up and read in bed like a cheap 120 buck 5″ e-book reader

  23. Slashouts says:

Look a bit too bulky though. The borders around the screens are too big…

  24. awazus says:

@drdan3 one side is to take hand written notes and the other side is to read books downloaded at the same time. Perfect for school if u can download all textbooks.

It does have an eInk screen! It’s useful for students like myself who have to reads literally tens of PDF files a week, and printing them gets too costly, while reading off a computer screen hurts. I really think this will be a great gadget to have for everyday usage at university. Laptops have to be charged daily as well with the amount of usage I get out of them.

And sure, while the price might be out of my range, there are always parents :)
